Independent scholars - We help you study on your own

Those who really want to learn, don't necessarily have to go to schools or colleges.

There are many self made persons who never went to college or even finished their high school education.

What was special about them was that instead of spending time going to schools or colleges, they got involved in what opportunities presented them, e.g., they got involved in some business or they got involved pursuing their own ideas or insights.

Some of them then learning on their own completed their GED and some even completed their college eduction.

Some never bothered to get any degree or diploma but kept on learning on their own.

You can choose to do the same and you will not be alone because the list of such people is endless see: http://www.collegedropoutshalloffame.com/t.htm

In order to be an independent scholar or a self learner, all you have to do is to chalk out a plan of learning on your own. This is where we can help you under our Independent Scholar Program and guide you what to study and how to earn credits for what you know and what you are learning.

CLEP (College Level Examination of Proficiency)is one such avenue where what you know can be tested and the credits earned can be transferred to a college getting you that much closer to your graduation.

Under our program of Independent study, you will have weekly or biweekly meetings with your mentor so you both keep track of your progress.

The mentor's main role will be to see that you do not procrastinate which often happens to busy and creative people especially when they are on their own and do not have to follow a set schedule.

The Independent Study program starts by the student going through our admission process which involves taking the assessment test. You can begin from there and register for taking the assessment test by clicking assessment

Based on the outcome of that assessment test, the Center will then guide you to the courses you need to take and what outside studies you need to undertake.
